Job Description

Sunrise Senior Living is a respected leader in the senior care industry, renowned for our compassionate and personalized approach to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. Established with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and community, Sunrise Senior Living operates a network of assisted living and memory care communities across the country. Our mission is to provide an enriching environment where residents can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially, supported by a team dedicated to compassionate and professional care. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture where our team members find a true sense of purpose and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. At Sunrise Senior Living, employees are not just caregivers; they are valued members of a team centered on creating moments of togetherness, joy, and comfort for seniors and their families. Our workplace culture promotes continuous growth, learning, and recognition, providing a supportive environment for personal and professional development. This dedication to quality care and team well-being has earned us certification as a Great Place to Work®, further underscoring our commitment to employee satisfaction and excellence in service.

The Lead Caregiver role at Sunrise Senior Living is a pivotal frontline leadership position designed for individuals who are passionate about senior care and motivated to lead by example. The Lead Caregiver will act as the shift leader, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent care while mentoring and coaching the caregiving team. This position involves managing daily shift assignments, overseeing attendance, and coordinating staff coverage to maintain optimal operational flow. Beyond administrative leadership, the Lead Caregiver provides hands-on support with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), ensuring that residents receive compassionate and attentive care. Monitoring resident well-being is a critical aspect of this role, as the Lead Caregiver must observe changes, promptly communicate concerns, and ensure documentation aligns with individualized service plans (ISP). The Lead Caregiver also plays an essential role in supporting the onboarding process and serves as a mentor for new team members, helping to instill the organization’s standards for quality, hospitality, and safety. This role requires a balance of caregiving duties and leadership responsibilities, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassion. Candidates for this position must have certification in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration, with experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care. The role offers a competitive pay range of $18.50 to $23.25 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position in maintaining Sunrise’s high standards of care and resident satisfaction. Joining Sunrise Senior Living as a Lead Caregiver is not only a chance to advance a career in senior care but also an opportunity to make a profound and positive impact on the lives of seniors and their families every day. Our comprehensive benefits package, inclusive culture, and commitment to employee development make Sunrise a truly rewarding place to grow and excel in this deeply meaningful profession.
