The role of the Lead Baker, also known as the Pastry Key Employee, is a pivotal position within Percy Restaurant’s kitchen operations. This leadership role supports the Kitchen Manager in overseeing the back of the house, which includes ordering, maintaining food quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding safety protocols. The Lead Baker plays a vital role in setting the tone for the team by embodying the core values of the Wylder Hospitality Group and leading with heart and humor. In this role, leadership extends beyond operational duties; the Lead Baker actively supports team members to achieve their goals and identifies and nurtures future leaders within the kitchen. They maintain a fun yet professional work environment that encourages collaboration between the back of house and front of house teams. Communication is crucial, as the Lead Baker must quickly and professionally support the Kitchen Manager with team communications and assist the front of house leadership and staff.

Physical demands involve moving products weighing up to 50 pounds and working in varied temperature conditions. Early morning availability is essential to meet operational needs.
