The open position is that of a Lead Baker, an integral role focused on preparing the fresh bread that defines the DiBella's experience. This role goes beyond simple baking; it requires a candidate who takes ownership of the baking process, adheres strictly to DiBella's Bread Manual procedures, and has the punctuality and positive attitude necessary for early morning shifts. The Lead Baker not only manages the bread baking but also supports customer service and overall store operations by preparing and serving a wide variety of food products.
This full-time role is designed for an individual who is dependable, punctual, and passionate about delivering quality baked goods. The Lead Baker will begin their day early, with exact shift times varying, and must ensure all baked products meet company standards. Additional responsibilities include keeping the bakery area clean and organized, following daily baking quantity par lists, and maintaining compliance with Health Department regulations. Equally important is the ability to provide friendly and upbeat customer service, prepare sandwiches to customer specifications, and assist with shift duties as required.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Bake the best bread possible using the procedures in the DiBella's Bread Manual
- follow the locations par list for the amount to bake on a daily basis
- keep the bakery clean and organized and report any equipment deficiencies
- utilize all safety equipment provided to ensure crew and guest safety
- prepare and serve menu items according to portion guidelines
- properly set up deli products such as cheeses, meats, breads, condiments, sauces, napkins, and wrap paper
- prepare hot and cold sandwiches at the customer's request
- display excellent customer service at all times
- ensure cleanliness of grills, deli counter, counter sink, and more
- develop a work pace sufficient to handle heavy rushes
- fulfill all shift duties
- maintain customer viewed areas and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards
- comply with Health Department Regulations
- willingness to increase product knowledge over time
- perform any other duties as assigned by the managers
