Job Description
This prestigious family based primarily in Miami is seeking a full-time private chef to replace their current chef of 8 years, who is returning to the UK. Known for their frequent travels between Miami, New York, Aspen, and the UK, this family values culinary excellence and longevity in their private chef role. They are searching for a highly skilled chef with Michelin experience, capable of handling a diverse array of cuisines including Mediterranean, French, Japanese/sushi, Levantine, and Indian. The family places strong emphasis on clean and healthy cooking, focusing on dishes with no sugar and low fat, using only organic and high-quality ingredients sourced thoughtfully. This position offers a unique opportunity for a talented chef to work in a dynamic and travel-intensive private household setting, catering mainly to two principals but occasionally serving up to six family members during gatherings and events.
The role requires the chef to be flexible and adaptable to the family’s extensive travel schedule, which spans across Miami, London, Aspen, and New York throughout the year. The chef will work Sunday through Thursday, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The family entertains often, so experience in hosting and catering for small, intimate parties and formal dinners is essential. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a private chef with demonstrated longevity in such roles and must hold a valid driver’s license. While the family prefers a candidate with dual UK/US citizenship to ease travel and visa formalities, they are open to hiring an exceptional chef willing and eligible to apply for an O1 visa for work in the UK.
This is a full-time position with accommodations provided during travel outside Miami, where the chef is expected to reside locally or within a commutable distance. The family is offering a competitive salary, paid time off, and healthcare benefits, reflecting the high value they place on this role. They aim to hire immediately, seeking someone who is ready to commit long-term and thrive in a private household environment with a heavy travel schedule. This position is perfect for professional chefs eager to use their extensive Michelin-starred culinary training in a challenging, high-demand, and rewarding private chef position that combines both home life luxury and international travel experiences.
