Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda is committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a work environment that encourages personal and professional growth. The company prides itself on embracing family values and creating a workplace where team members are inspired to better their lives. Emphasizing community impact through its Panda Cares initiative, Panda demonstrates a strong commitment not only to customers but also to the neighborhoods it serves.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join us as Kitchen Team Associates. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and service that Panda is known for. As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team environment where every day brings new learning opportunities, challenges, and achievements. Whether you are new to the foodservice industry or have prior experience, Panda offers paid, hands-on training to equip you with the skills necessary for success. Our flexible schedules and growth opportunities encourage career advancement, including pathways to management positions. Beyond job duties, associates have the unique chance to engage in meaningful community service through our Panda Cares program, reinforcing our dedication to social responsibility.

In this role, you will actively participate in delivering an exceptional dining experience by greeting guests, serving food, and handling cash register payments. You will help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store to ensure a safe and inviting atmosphere for guests and team members alike. The kitchen environment is fast-paced and may involve working at different positions, including the front counter, drive-thru, or kitchen, requiring adaptability and teamwork. Employees must be prepared to work efficiently while adhering to strict operational and safety standards, ensuring that only fresh and quality food reaches our guests.

The physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and managing workstations with heat and noise challenges. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve conflicts effectively are essential for success. Panda Restaurant Group values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and offering reasonable accommodations during the hiring process and employment. Join Panda and become part of a team that values hard work, community engagement, and personal development.
