Job Description

Schulte Hospitality Group (SHG) is a prominent and rapidly growing third-party hospitality management company with extensive multi-generational experience in the hospitality industry. Operating more than 200 locations across 38 states and 3 countries, SHG manages a wide array of hospitality brands including major names like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, as well as numerous unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. The company’s commitment to a strong service culture centers on hospitality, respect, authenticity, and prioritizing the needs of both internal employees and external guests. With this foundation, SHG champions a work environment where service excellence is paramount and all team members are empowered to thrive, grow, and deliver outstanding hospitality experiences.

Southern Tides, part of the SHG family, is seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to join their team. This role is essential in maintaining the seamless operation of the kitchen and food and beverage services in alignment with SHG’s high standards. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a critical leadership role by supervising, training, monitoring, and coaching kitchen and department staff while ensuring operational standards are consistently met or exceeded. The position demands a proactive and attentive approach to customer service, with an emphasis on resolving guest needs promptly and respectfully. The Kitchen Supervisor will also be responsible for directing and assigning staff to support efficient and effective department operations, particularly during the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager, when this role will encompass overseeing overall food and beverage operations and handling department opening and closing duties.

In this role, the selected candidate must demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities, an understanding of local alcohol serving practices and federal, state, and local labor, health, and sanitation laws. Effective verbal communication and teamwork are crucial, as well as the capacity to adapt to flexible work hours and shifts. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a supportive and employee-focused company culture. SHG prioritizes the development and engagement of its associates and encourages a collaborative atmosphere imbued with respect and empowerment.

At SHG, employment benefits include innovative perks like Daily Pay to allow associates to be paid the same day they work, free telemedicine and virtual mental health care access from the first day of employment, multiple health and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and access to an employee assistance program. In addition, employees enjoy discounted access to event tickets, electronics, gym memberships, and more through the Schulte Savings Marketplace.

As an equal opportunity employer, SHG embraces diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The hiring process for the Kitchen Supervisor position at Southern Tides includes a phone interview, one or more manager interviews, a drug screening, background and reference checks, and possibly an employment assessment. This role offers a rewarding and fun work environment with exceptional career growth potential within one of the hospitality industry’s leading management companies. Specific compensation and benefits for this position will be discussed during the interview process, with Paid Time Off available according to company policy.
