Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years of related supervisory experience
  • Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Moderate hearing to communicate with employees and hear machinery
  • Excellent vision for safety reasons
  • Moderate speech communication skills
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy to read, write and analyze budgets
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry food and small equipment up to 75 percent of the time
  • Ability to bend knees, and travel 30-50 feet regularly throughout the day

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years of related supervisory experience in food service
  • Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
  • Moderate hearing and speech communication skills
  • Excellent vision and comprehension skills
  • Ability to analyze budgets and operational reports

Job Duties

  • Supervise the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the kitchen to ensure a quality, consistent product is produced which conforms to all franchise standards
  • Supervise human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees while providing a safe work environment
  • Train, develop, empower, coach and counsel kitchen staff
  • Schedule and supervise the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets or exceeds federal, state, corporate and franchise standards and regulations
  • Assist in monitoring and control all labor and food costs
  • Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards
