Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of four years' hospitality or restaurant food service experience required
  • Two years of previous culinary supervisory experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting professionalism

Job Duties

  • Execute and ensure culinary staff prepares food items for restaurant and banquet functions following food handling and safety guidelines
  • Supervise, guide, and direct kitchen employees
  • Provide accurate performance feedback to F&B manager
  • Manage food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality
  • Assist with quality, presentation, cleanliness, and organization of the kitchen and restaurant
  • Accommodate guests' special requests
  • Ensure guest satisfaction related to food, beverage, hospitality, and service standards
