Job Description

As a company, we offer AM and PM dishwashing shifts designed to accommodate various schedules, ensuring flexibility for our staff. The position of dishwasher is essential to our kitchen's success, as this role supports the smooth functioning of our culinary team. Without an efficient dishwasher, the kitchen cannot operate seamlessly or serve guests promptly. Our facility is well maintained and beautiful, and we rely on our dishwashing team to ensure that every experience in our establishment is clean and enjoyable for all visitors.

The dishwasher role involves multiple responsibilities centered around cleanliness and hygiene. This position requires handling the dishwashing machine, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and managing waste disposal. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing various tasks including washing and drying dishes, restocking supplies, sweeping and mopping communal areas, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dish pit. This role requires someone dependable who can work diligently in fast-paced conditions while complying with health and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and the General Manager, the dishwasher will have an integral part in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring a consistent high standard of cleanliness throughout the establishment. This role also demands physical stamina, attentiveness to detail, and a positive attitude to contribute effectively to our team.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of dishwashing experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and around cleaning chemicals
  • Must have hygienic appearance
  • Must have non-slip work shoes

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of dishwashing experience
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Ability to follow instructions from kitchen management
  • Good physical stamina
  • Hygienic appearance

Job Duties

  • Putting together, taking apart, and cleaning dish machine
  • Picking up dishes from all events as necessary
  • Washing and drying dishes, equipment and other items
  • Putting items in their correct places
  • Collecting and taking out trash from all kitchen trashcans
  • Breaking down and properly disposing of all boxes
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping communal areas
  • Scrubbing floors and walls in dish pit
  • Restock gloves, cleaning supplies, and towels
  • Fulfilling all opening or closing duties
