Your responsibilities will include assisting with ingredient preparation such as washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats, following precise recipes and portion controls, and ensuring all ingredients are properly labeled and stocked for easy access. The prep cook plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation areas and kitchen equipment are sanitized in compliance with food safety regulations.
This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with competitive pay ranging from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour. Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items for cooking or serving
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Ensure that all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
