Fogo de Chao is a distinguished Brazilian steakhouse that prides itself on delivering an unforgettable dining experience rooted in the Culinary Art of Churrasco. Known for its warm hospitality and high-quality cuisine, Fogo de Chao has established itself as a leader in the premium dining industry, serving guests who seek an authentic and engaging culinary journey. The company is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment not only for its patrons but also for its team members. They believe that a better future begins with nurturing their staff through meaningful job opportunities and creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and included.

At Fogo de Chao, the focus extends beyond just food service; it embraces values such as teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and the principle of Deixa Comigo, which translates to "we've got you!" This ethos guides the way the staff interacts and delivers service daily, ensuring both personal and professional growth opportunities are available to all employees at every level of the organization. The restaurant encourages its team members to bring their best selves to the table, fostering a culture of joy and care that radiates through all aspects of their work.

The Kitchen Prep role at Fogo de Chao is a vital position responsible for supporting the culinary operations by preparing and presenting salad bar items, side dishes, and desserts according to the company’s exacting recipes and standards. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The Kitchen Prep will ensure that all fresh produce and inventory items meet strict quality controls and will assist management with inventory maintenance, including tracking expiration dates and proper storage.

Part of the day-to-day responsibilities also includes maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and work areas, ensuring that all operational guidelines are followed to promote food safety. The role demands flexibility to manage opening and closing duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.

Fogo de Chao offers this position with a competitive starting pay range from $16.00 to $22.00 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. The job offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time hourly team members, as well as company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage. Part-time team members are also eligible for a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) health plan and various voluntary benefits such as pet insurance and legal protection, with many benefits becoming effective soon after hire.

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to transport objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time while maintaining a quick work pace. Weekend and holiday availability is also necessary, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to serving guests during peak dining hours. Fogo de Chao is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and E Verify Employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in its workplace.
