Now hiring for the position of Kitchen Prep, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and the high standards that Fogo de Chao is known for. A Kitchen Prep team member is primarily responsible for supporting culinary operations by preparing and presenting salad bar items, side dishes, and desserts according to precise recipes and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the freshness and quality of all food products.
Kitchen Prep associates play a key role in inventory management, including monitoring inventory levels and ensuring proper storage practices are followed. They assist management in tracking expiration dates to guarantee food safety and quality. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and the proper upkeep of kitchen equipment are essential duties to uphold the high standards expected at Fogo de Chao.
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where team members must be capable of handling physical requirements such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and maintaining speed and accuracy during busy periods. The ability to work weekends and holidays is necessary, supporting the vibrant and dynamic nature of the restaurant industry.
Fogo de Chao offers competitive benefits packages for both full-time and part-time team members. Full-time hourly employees become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment, along with company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage where permitted. For additional security, the restaurant offers voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, and pet insurance.
Part-time team members have access to minimum essential coverage health plans plus dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, effective as early as the month following their hire date. These employees may also participate in voluntary benefits programs including pet insurance, legal services, and ID protection.

Job Duties
- Provides support through preparation and proper presentation of all salad bar items, side dishes and desserts according to recipe in an efficient manner
- ensures that the quality of all inventory and fresh produce are of the highest standards
- proper management of inventory levels including the storage area
- assists management with tracking of expiration dates on all products
- maintains cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and areas
- completes any beginning or closing shift duties as directed by management
