Job Description
Big City Diner is a well-established restaurant with over 25 years of serving award-winning food and providing excellent service. Founded by Mr. Lane Muraoka, a local from Kailua who started his career in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher, the diner has grown under his dedicated leadership. Mr. Muraoka's hands-on approach as President has been a key factor in the success of the diner, as he actively participates in various roles such as cleaning, serving, bartending, and promoting the restaurant. Alongside Corporate Executive Chef Dennis Franks, Big City Diner has built a reputation for operational excellence and a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The diner operates multiple convenient locations, fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for both patrons and employees.
The position available is for a Kitchen Manager, an essential role responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring everything runs smoothly. As a Kitchen Manager at Big City Diner, you will be tasked with ensuring the kitchen is fully staffed and efficiently operated at all times. This role requires strong leadership skills to coordinate the kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. You will be expected to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines to guarantee a safe and clean environment. The job offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities with a salaried position, reflecting the importance of this role within the team. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, flexible schedules, free shift meals, ongoing education and training seminars, team member discounts, free parking, and employment at one of five convenient locations. The role promises a dynamic and engaging work environment where no two days are the same, and you have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the success and atmosphere of Big City Diner. We look forward to welcoming motivated professionals to our team who can uphold our tradition of excellence and help us continue to delight our customers with top-tier food and service.
