Job Description

Eggslut is a renowned restaurant brand known for its innovative and high-quality culinary offerings that cater to a diverse clientele. Established with a passion for delivering exceptional breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences, Eggslut has become a standout destination for food enthusiasts seeking creative and delicious menu options made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant’s focus on quality, flavor, and outstanding customer service has earned it a loyal customer base and a strong reputation in the competitive food service industry. As a dynamic and fast-paced operation, Eggslut strives to maintain excellence in every aspect of its kitchen and dining environment, making it a preferred employer for culinary professionals who are eager to grow and excel in their careers.

The role of Kitchen Manager at Eggslut is a critical position that involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and managing the kitchen staff across all meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This position requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively train, coach, and guide the kitchen team. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring the care and maintenance of kitchen equipment, menu engineering, and meticulous food and beverage cost controls. The role also involves monitoring financial profitability while maintaining high standards for food quality and safety. Given the fast-paced environment, the Kitchen Manager must maintain efficient workflow, uphold hygiene and sanitation standards, and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. The position demands a hands-on leader who can motivate the team, resolve customer issues professionally, and promote a positive workplace culture.

In addition to operational duties, the Kitchen Manager acts as a role model and a resource for the kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and high morale. They participate in menu planning and execution, oversee inventory management including ordering, pricing, and controlling food and supplies, and conduct regular audits such as line checks and monthly inventories. Compliance with local and national food safety standards, OSHA regulations, HACCP protocols, and company policies is essential. The Kitchen Manager also serves as the Manager on Duty in the absence of other department heads, working collaboratively with property management to ensure smooth operations.

This full-time position requires a candidate who is physically capable of performing kitchen duties such as lifting, standing for long hours, and handling kitchen equipment safely. Strong culinary knowledge gained through experience or formal education is required, along with certifications such as Serve Safe. Experience working in chain food outlets, retail, or hotel food and beverage departments is preferred. The role offers opportunities for advancement to positions such as Food and Beverage Manager or Director, for dedicated and capable individuals. Eggslut values honesty, trustworthiness, and professionalism, and expects all associates to uphold these standards consistently. The Kitchen Manager role is ideal for those passionate about culinary excellence and leadership in a vibrant and growing restaurant setting.
