The role of the Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is a dynamic and hands-on position centered on culinary excellence and team leadership. Kitchen Leaders are trained to prepare great food by mastering grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and following precise kitchen procedures to ensure Food With Integrity is upheld in every dish served. Beyond food preparation, the Kitchen Leader supervises kitchen operations, ensures the kitchen is clean, organized, and maintains all equipment in excellent working condition. This role involves active participation on the kitchen floor, working closely with crew members to promote teamwork and provide an outstanding customer experience.

A significant responsibility of the Kitchen Leader is to develop and mentor crew members, guiding them to become future leaders within the kitchen.
