The organization is committed to fair employment practices without regard to personal characteristics such as race, ethnicity, gender identity, or disability.

The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal position responsible for the core of the culinary experience—ensuring that every dish served is delicious, safe, and prepared with the highest standards. The Kitchen Leader will learn essential cooking techniques such as grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, while also being entrusted with managing food quality and kitchen organization. This position demands a hands-on leader who maintains an immaculate and efficient kitchen environment, monitors food inventory and waste, ensures proper maintenance of kitchen equipment, and actively upholds safety and sanitary standards. Furthermore, the Kitchen Leader plays a significant role in team development by training and mentoring crew members to become future leaders within the kitchen. This leadership role requires excellent communication skills to foster teamwork between back-of-house and front-of-house staff, ensuring a seamless customer experience that aligns with Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy. The position is designed for individuals passionate about food and leadership, who thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to contribute to Chipotle's mission of cultivating a better world through responsible food service. Employment is typically full-time with competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for advancement; approximately 80% of managers started their careers as crew members, highlighting Chipotle's dedication to internal growth and development.
