Established with a mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle is committed to making better food accessible to everyone while supporting sustainable farming and food practices. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out in the industry as the only restaurant company of its scale that owns and operates all of its restaurants in North America and Europe. The company's culture is deeply rooted in values-driven, people-first principles, fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity, respect, and equitable opportunity are prioritized. Chipotle emphasizes continuous learning, innovation, and leadership in digital technology and sustainable business practices, aiming to deliver an exceptional guest experience at every restaurant.
The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food and leadership to grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is an hourly employment position focused on ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality food while maintaining strict safety and cleanliness standards. As a Kitchen Leader, you will play a critical role in the kitchen operations by cooking and prepping food to order, grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and ensuring that every meal served meets Chipotle's rigorous standards for quality and taste. This role also involves inventory management, food waste monitoring, and maintaining equipment to ensure all kitchen tools are in optimal condition. Beyond technical duties, the Kitchen Leader serves as an inspiring role model and mentor to Crew members, empowering them with skills and knowledge to become future Kitchen Leaders. Collaboration and teamwork are central to this role, as it requires coordinating effectively with both back of house and front of house teams to guarantee a seamless customer experience. Additionally, Kitchen Leaders are responsible for food safety compliance, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, and promoting a safe work environment to prevent injuries or accidents. This position offers a launchpad for career advancement with 80% of Chipotle's management team having started their journey as Crew members. Benefits such as tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and holiday closures contribute to a supportive and rewarding work environment. Joining Chipotle as a Kitchen Leader means becoming part of a trailblazing company that blends culinary excellence with a mission to transform the food industry for the better.
