Chipotle is currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Leader who will be responsible for ensuring the consistent quality and safety of its delicious food offerings. The Kitchen Leader role is essential in maintaining the high standards of food preparation, ensuring that meals are cooked perfectly and promptly, and that kitchen operations run smoothly. This full-time position focuses on leadership, teamwork, and efficient kitchen management. The individual will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare great food, including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, and will play a critical role in supporting and developing the kitchen crew. They will oversee food ordering, inventory management, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment maintenance. The Kitchen Leader acts as a role model by training crew members to become future leaders and by fostering a positive team environment across front-of-house and back-of-house staff. Job Duties
- Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
- monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
- supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
- developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
- communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
- ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair
- making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
- ensuring that the kitchen and all crew members meet necessary guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
- filling out material safety data sheets and inventory rotation
