The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about food, teamwork, and leadership. The Kitchen Leader ensures that the kitchen remains clean, organized, and well-stocked, with equipment maintained and functioning optimally to avoid disruptions. They handle critical tasks such as monitoring food quality, minimizing waste, ensuring safety compliance, and filling out necessary documentation like Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation records. On their feet, always active and engaged, Kitchen Leaders pitch in wherever needed, embodying professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Relevant restaurant experience

  • Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience

  • Effective communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
  • Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
  • Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
  • Developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
  • Communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
  • Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
