The Kitchen Lead position at Round Trip Brewing represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to join their growing team in East Cobb, Marietta, GA. As a full-time role, the Kitchen Lead will play a pivotal part in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and cooking adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is integral to the brewery's success, requiring a leader who is detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of managing and motivating kitchen staff to consistently deliver excellent food on time. The Kitchen Lead will be responsible for supervising all aspects of kitchen production, maintaining inventory, enforcing food safety regulations, and facilitating communication between kitchen staff and management.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and demands a reliable, flexible, and proactive individual who can maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow. Key responsibilities include creating recipe cards, managing food costs, ordering supplies, and leading the team through busy service periods while ensuring compliance with portions, presentation standards, and food safety protocols. The Kitchen Lead is also tasked with developing weekly food specials to boost sales and coordinating catering orders and pop-up events at the brewery's West Midtown location.

The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently with a focus on high-quality food production and employee management. In addition to operational duties, the Kitchen Lead supports hiring and training efforts and plays a crucial role in maintaining equipment and promoting a safe, clean kitchen environment. The position is physically demanding, involving long hours standing in hot, humid conditions with exposure to loud noises and hazardous materials, requiring stamina and physical resilience.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds
  • ability to stand for up to 8 hours in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments
  • experience working with potentially dangerous equipment and hazardous materials
  • team player who is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions
  • ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests
  • comprehension and reaction to financial performance in operations including basic math skills
  • knowledge of physical inventory methods and food ordering processes
  • flexible working schedule primarily weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years kitchen supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
  • strong interpersonal skills with a hospitality mindset

  • ServSafe certified
  • basic computer knowledge including use of email and Google products
  • valid driver's license and clean driving record
