We are currently seeking an experienced Cook/Grill Staff to join our dynamic team at Dairy Queen. This role is vital in executing all kitchen operations while ensuring that every prepared item meets stringent restaurant safety and health standards. The Cook/Grill Staff member will be responsible for cooking, assembling, and wrapping food items, as well as stocking all necessary products and preparation materials in a clean and safe manner. The successful candidate will demonstrate a sharp attention to detail and a strong commitment to keeping the kitchen organized and hygienic during food preparation and cooking processes.
Working as a Cook/Grill Staff member at DQ means being part of a collaborative kitchen environment where communication with co-workers is key to delivering accurate and timely orders. The role involves operating and maintaining various pieces of kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and freezers while adhering to established health and safety standards. The individual must be able to efficiently manage food production, including proper food rotation and storage, while maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting. Physical stamina is essential as the role involves standing for long periods, working in varying temperature environments, and being capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. The Cook/Grill Staff must also be able to read order monitors, manage communication regarding product contents, and ensure adherence to food handling procedures as mandated by local health regulations.
