Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a cook or in a relevant culinary role
  • Knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Certification in food safety preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Former engagement as a cook or in a relevant culinary capacity
  • Sound comprehension of cooking methods and principles essential for food preparation
  • Being familiar with food safety standards and sanitation practices is important
  • Obtain the essential certification for food safety, if not already secured

Job Duties

  • Create a diverse selection of dishes using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Arrange work areas with the necessary ingredients and tools for the task at hand
  • Arrange ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, blending, and similar tasks
  • Safely operate a range of kitchen tools and appliances, including knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers, to prevent accidents or injuries
  • Prepare and cook dishes through baking, broiling, roasting, steaming, and other culinary processes
  • Present and distribute meals according to specific standards for their appearance and quantity
  • Abide by the recommended food safety protocols and store food in the appropriate manner
  • Maintain the hygiene of kitchen surfaces, machinery, and tools through cleaning and disinfecting
  • Provide outstanding service to customers while keeping a positive mindset
  • Ensure full adherence to Aramark's safety and sanitation policies
  • Ensure the security of organizational properties
