Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of guest related experience in the food and beverage service and/or retail industry or equivalent combination
  • at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • knowledge of ABC laws for legal sale of alcohol
  • availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
  • ability to perform all duties of the job successfully
  • physical ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • ability to sit, walk, and stand for periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of guest related experience in the food and beverage service and/or retail industry or equivalent combination of experience and education

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees during the shift
  • establish and maintain continual education regarding service standards and guest-focused hospitality through preshift meetings, team meetings and daily service
  • ensure alignment of service focuses with GM and promote these areas among the leadership team
  • provide quality and timely communication to restaurant leadership and company leaders
  • manage the atmosphere of the restaurant including music, lights, and temperature to create a positive and energetic feel
  • understand and follow all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
  • ensure safety by identifying and correcting unsafe situations immediately
  • ensure guests receive responsive, friendly and courteous service
  • maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation and service according to recipes and standards
  • achieve company objectives in service, quality, appearance and sanitation through employee training and a positive working environment
  • control cash and receipts adhering to cash handling procedures
  • fill in where needed to ensure service standards and operational efficiency
  • continually develop staff in managerial and professional skills
  • prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner
  • keep equipment clean and in excellent working condition through inspection
  • inform GM of policy violations to administer corrective actions
  • comply with all health, safety and labor regulations
  • provide advice and suggestions to GM and senior management
  • check quantity and quality of received products
  • oversee proper storage, labeling, and inventory levels
  • ensure consistency in restaurant concept delivery
  • respond professionally to difficult situations
  • create a motivational environment with open communication
  • mentor and coach front of house team
  • help manage labor hours by encouraging efficiency
