- Applicable culinary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- at least three years of culinary experience or training

Job Duties
- Prepares all menu items in the assigned area daily
- assists with daily line checks
- organizes product, equipment, and necessary paperwork
- runs a la carte services
- manages production lists
- conducts area inventories
- operates, maintains, and cleans necessary machinery
- follows portion control and food presentation standards
- checks coolers for proper food rotation
- monitors product levels and informs supervisor of needed orders
- takes required breaks and notifies supervisor
- maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- follows all hotel and kitchen policies and procedures
- advises chef when inventory is depleted
- uses knowledge of product storage and rotation
- maintains ServSafe and health department standards
- completes mise en place and sets up station
- prepares food maintaining quality, taste, and appearance
- keeps walk-in coolers and storage areas organized
- works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- collaborates effectively with team members
- focuses on guest needs with calm and courteous demeanor
- instructs cooking personnel in cooking techniques
- assumes responsibility for kitchen operations
