Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3 plus years of sous chef or culinary management experience
  • ability to carry large heavy items such as dishes in tubs or trays unassisted up to 25 lbs
  • ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day
  • ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
  • ability to perform frequent bending stooping and lifting of objects

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3 plus years of sous chef or culinary management experience
  • corporate dining kitchen experience
  • degree in culinary arts
  • high volume production and catering experience
  • proven ability to create innovative menus on a daily basis
  • ability to perform under pressure
  • excellent communication skills
  • possess a creative spirit and ability to make the culinary experience part of the SpaceX culture

Job Duties

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels and ingredients
  • assist in establishing menu specifications
  • maintain quality by ensuring products are prepared according to guidelines
  • enforce food quality
  • ensure safety of physical kitchen and cafe space
  • assist with and distribute work schedules
  • oversee front of house food preparation
