This particular opportunity is with Joybird, a prominent retail brand under the La-Z-Boy umbrella specializing in stylish and customizable furniture. The role of Retail Sales Associate at Joybird is pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer experience in the showroom, driving sales, and supporting the store's financial performance, with annual sales targets ranging between $5 million and $8 million. This is a full-time position, typically requiring 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

As a Retail Sales Associate at Joybird, you will be entrusted with key responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, managing sales floor activities during busy periods, and providing leadership in the absence of store management. Serving as a bridge between customers and the company, you will create meaningful interactions that foster client relationships, build personal clientele, and maximize sales potential. You will also maintain showroom design standards, contribute ideas to improve customer experiences, and relay valuable customer feedback to product, marketing, and technology teams.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $22 along with an uncapped commission rate of 2% on all written sales, and a monthly bonus opportunity of $500 upon meeting individual sales goals. Job Duties

  • Responsible for opening and closing the store and performing other duties in the absence of management
  • Assigned and are responsible for opening and closing the store with store keys and alarm code
  • Responsible for daily sales reporting to the retail leadership
  • Oversee the sales floor in periods of high volume, provide support to the sales team and supervise to ensure that the store is meeting financial goals and that associates are providing excellent service to our guests
  • Effectively perform the Lead Sales Associate role, serving as a role model to our sales team in sales generation and customer service by relentlessly delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintaining the showrooms design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines
  • Maximize sales by growing and maintaining a strong client base by building your own personal clientele book and driving store sales through client follow-up, phone calls, and personalized outreach
  • Assist our leadership team to create programs and initiatives to make our customers’ experiences even better
  • Share your valuable insight with our product, marketing and technology teams regarding customer needs and feedback
  • Listen and acknowledge customer feedback and complaints, empathize, and present the best possible solution
