KBS is currently seeking motivated individuals to join their Janitorial Services Team as a Porter. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour. The available shifts for this role are from 3 PM to 7 PM. The Porter plays a vital role in maintaining facility cleanliness and customer satisfaction by providing excellent cleaning services and interacting with customers daily. The Porter is responsible for cleaning high-volume, heavy-traffic sites or working as an individual crew member on-site. Success in this role requires the ability to prioritize tasks based on customer needs while maintaining excellent customer relations. The role demands a broad knowledge of janitorial processes and strong customer service skills. Porters are expected to provide solutions to various challenges and assist with other duties as assigned by their manager.

Key responsibilities include executing daily cleaning duties and responding to customer requests to ensure a clean and efficient facility. Physical demands include standing and walking for 10 to 12 hours, carrying items weighing up to 49 pounds, and frequent movement throughout the entire shift. Effective communication skills are essential, as the Porter will regularly interact with internal and external customers. The job also requires the ability to understand and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical handling documents, primarily in English.
