The role of a member of the Doughnutation (Sanitation) team is critical to maintaining the high standards for which Pinkbox Doughnuts is known. This position focuses on keeping the shop clean, safe, and organized behind the scenes. Team members in this role ensure that all back-of-house areas remain spotless throughout each shift, promoting a pleasant and hygienic environment for both staff and guests. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and cleaning various surfaces and equipment, disposing of trash properly, and adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols. The sanitation team works collaboratively with management to perform additional tasks as needed to support smooth operations in a fast-paced setting. This is a physically active position that requires continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting, often throughout an 8-hour shift including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift
- bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
- ability to multitask and remain positive in busy working conditions
- janitors can expect to work an 8-hour shift on average, including weekends and holidays
- exposure to cleaning chemicals
- comply with brand and Company uniform and hygiene policies
Job Qualifications
- Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required
- must have a Food Handler's Card
- legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
Job Duties
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, wash, and clean debris from counters, display cases, and floors
- clean prep areas, walls, and storage racks
- pick up loose trash in all areas and dispose of it properly
- clean drains, dishwashing machines, ovens, walk-in coolers, fryers, and other equipment as required
- clean restrooms using approved chemicals and empty trash
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- perform additional tasks as requested by management and as needed to support the shop
