Job Description

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Sous Chef for Sortino's Italian Kitchen, a casual restaurant and bar located in Round Rock, Texas. Sortino's Italian Kitchen blends old-school Italian cuisine with modern influences, embodying a tradition of hospitality dating back over 60 years. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate culinary expertise, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills to ensure the delivery of an authentic Italian dining experience in a high-volume, resort-based kitchen environment.

Job Requirements

  • Three years of progressive culinary experience and three years of management experience
  • strong background in Italian cuisine and pizza operations preferred
  • basic knowledge of P&L, labor control, and food cost/recipe costing
  • proven ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • ServeSafe certification or equivalent preferred
  • passion for food, hospitality, and culinary excellence
