Advocate Health is one of the largest healthcare organizations in the country, dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality care while emphasizing physician empowerment, patient-centered services, and community well-being. With an academic affiliation with Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Advocate Health leverages cutting-edge research and education to shape the future of healthcare. Within this comprehensive network, Atrium Health stands out as a vital component focusing on delivering compassionate, preventive, and innovative care through its advanced medical teams and integrated resources.
This opportunity is for a Concierge Care Physician based in Charlotte, North Carolina, joining a newly opening practice slated to launch in Fall 2026. This full-time position operates within a membership-based model designed to offer an unparalleled level of personalized, proactive medical attention. The primary focus of the role is to cultivate long-term relationships with a smaller, defined patient panel—typically around 510 visits per day—prioritizing prevention, wellness, and early intervention. Physicians working in this role enjoy the extended time allotted per patient visit, allowing them to delve deeper into each individual's health history, lifestyle, and goals to deliver truly personalized care plans.
Charlotte is a thriving metropolitan area offering an enriching blend of professional growth and lifestyle benefits. With its rapid urban development, financial prominence, and cultural vibrancy, Charlotte provides an ideal backdrop for medical professionals seeking a robust career and a supportive community environment. Atrium Health's Concierge Care division in Charlotte is embedded within a broader integrated system that boasts access to onsite labs, radiology services, and seamless specialty referrals, ensuring physicians have the best tools to provide comprehensive care.
The role entails a Monday-to-Friday work schedule at 4.5 days a week with manageable on-call responsibilities, enabling a healthy work-life balance. Physicians collaborate closely with specialist teams across Atrium Health’s system, leveraging innovative technologies such as EPIC EMR and DAX Copilot—an AI-powered clinical documentation assistant enhancing efficiency and reducing administrative burdens. Physicians are expected to maintain accurate, timely records, educate patients about various health conditions and wellness strategies, and work in an environment committed to safe, equitable care for all populations.
Joining Atrium Health as a Concierge Care Physician means becoming part of a top-tier, physician-led medical group that champions innovation, professional development, and leadership opportunities. The organization’s culture nurtures clinician well-being by fostering an environment where physicians are valued and empowered to excel in their practice. Furthermore, being part of a system that is nationally recognized for integrating care services provides you with the support and resources necessary to make a meaningful impact on your patients and the community at large. The scope of this role not only supports your career growth but also aligns with a mission to redefine care delivery through purposeful leadership and bold innovation.
