Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in area of instruction
  • Experience with youth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management
  • Certificate from a professional culinary arts organization
  • Two years of experience in culinary arts instruction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in the area of culinary arts instruction
  • Experience working with youth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Two years of professional culinary arts experience
  • Ability to motivate and counsel students
  • Skilled in lesson planning and curriculum development

Job Duties

  • Serve as the lead instructor for the culinary arts career technical training program
  • Provide assistance to the CTT manager to ensure service delivery
  • Monitor and record student progress, credentialing, and course completion
  • Develop, implement, and monitor processes to achieve center goals
  • Maintain culinary arts instructional materials and training environment
  • Motivate and counsel students in areas including behavior, training, and personal issues
  • Develop and prepare lesson plans, recommend curricular changes, and supplemental materials
  • Utilize workplace language and behavior standards in the classroom
  • Review and audit instructional compliance and prepare reports
  • Participate in student evaluation panels and maintain documentation
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Administer tests and maintain training achievement records and attendance
  • Control and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Participate in hands-on career preparation activities
  • Support the intellectual and social development of students
