The role of Instructor, CTT Culinary Arts, is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $70,304. This role is integral to the Career Technical Training (CTT) department, reporting directly to the manager of career technical training. The Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality culinary arts instruction to students following approved curricula, ensuring compliance with government and organizational guidelines. This role focuses on both the education and personal development of students, guiding them through technical culinary skills while promoting workplace behaviors and soft skills essential for career success. As the lead instructor in the culinary arts training area, the incumbent will take a proactive approach in overseeing student progress, credentialing, and course completion. Job Requirements

- Certification in area of instruction
- Experience with youth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management
- Certificate from a professional culinary arts organization
- Two years of experience in culinary arts instruction

Job Duties
- Serve as the lead instructor for the culinary arts career technical training program
- Provide assistance to the CTT manager to ensure service delivery
- Monitor and record student progress, credentialing, and course completion
- Develop, implement, and monitor processes to achieve center goals
- Maintain culinary arts instructional materials and training environment
- Motivate and counsel students in areas including behavior, training, and personal issues
- Develop and prepare lesson plans, recommend curricular changes, and supplemental materials
- Utilize workplace language and behavior standards in the classroom
- Review and audit instructional compliance and prepare reports
- Participate in student evaluation panels and maintain documentation
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Administer tests and maintain training achievement records and attendance
- Control and maintain equipment and supplies
- Participate in hands-on career preparation activities
- Support the intellectual and social development of students
