The Installation Technician II role at Solotech offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled audiovisual professional to engage in the design, construction, installation, and maintenance of advanced audio and video equipment. This position involves hands-on work with AV racks, system setup, testing, and troubleshooting across diverse project sites ranging from concert venues to corporate offices. The technician will collaborate closely with project managers and clients to ensure each installation meets precise technical specifications and client expectations. With a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and technology adoption, this role requires a committed individual who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team under dynamic conditions.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the integration/installation of audiovisual equipment field
- valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- ability to troubleshoot
- ability to adapt to new technology
- able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- high attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to work in a team as well as independently
- strong customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the integration/installation of audiovisual equipment field
- CTA or Professional Diploma in audiovisual / electronic or equivalent (an asset)
- ability to trouble shoot
- valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- ability to adapt to new technology
- able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- high attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to work in a team as well as independently
- strong customer service skills
- knowledge of sound systems, lighting, video and/or videoconference control equipment
- knowledge of carpentry: chemical and mechanical anchorage, passing cabling, etc.
- knowledge of AutoCAD Viewer, an asset
- excellent knowledge of Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook)
Job Duties
- Installation of audiovisual equipment and accessories for clients
- set up equipment, carry out tests and validation according to norms, plans, and specifications
- work closely with project managers to know the specific needs of the clients
- familiarize the clients with the functioning of our equipment
- ensure the trucks as well as the warehouse are clean and organized
- keep updated and in sufficient quantity the inventory of the trucks’ equipment
- manipulate, transport, and use power tools, equipment, materials and required vehicles to install audiovisual equipment
- remain up to date when it comes to new products and technological developments in the audiovisual field
- ensure to respect the health and safety rules and requirements applicable to the projects
- other duties as assigned
