The role of Information Systems Administrator at Teledyne Scientific & Imaging is a pivotal position responsible for managing and securing classified IT systems that are integral to the organization’s operations. This role demands a highly skilled professional who can ensure the secure administration of classified information systems in compliance with stringent cybersecurity standards imposed by the Department of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC).

As an Information Systems Administrator, you will be expected to oversee a hybrid computing infrastructure encompassing both Windows and Linux server environments. Key responsibilities include the administration of Active Directory, management of Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, and maintaining the integrity of system patching. The role also involves managing enterprise storage solutions including technologies like Dell EMC Unity, alongside backup systems that ensure data redundancy and availability.

Beyond backend server management, the position supports network infrastructure maintenance, dealing with Cisco routers and switches, as well as Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) architectures, emphasizing secure communication protocols. You will also be involved in desktop and client system support, including software deployments, upgrades, user management, and system imaging. A crucial part of your role will be troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues that extend beyond Tier 2 support, helping maintain operational continuity and protecting sensitive information assets.

This full-time role is tailored for candidates with a strong background in classified or government environments, possessing a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53 standards, and relevant DoD and IC directives. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance, with the possibility and eligibility to acquire higher-level clearances such as Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) and Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly). The role requires U.S. citizenship.
