Job Description
GDIT, or General Dynamics Information Technology, is a renowned global technology and professional services company deeply embedded in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions and mission-critical services to major U.S. government agencies, including those within the defense and intelligence sectors. With a workforce of approximately 26,000 skilled professionals, GDIT leverages the power of advanced technology to create immediate operational value. They are pioneers in providing mission-ready capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development. Operating across more than 50 countries worldwide, GDIT’s comprehensive service offerings and innovative solutions contribute significantly to national security and critical infrastructure maintenance. Their mission-driven approach and commitment to excellence make them a leader in helping government agencies meet their complex, specialized demands with agility and precision.
The position of Senior Operational Leader and Team Lead for Enterprise Domain Services and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) at GDIT supports the vital US BICES/US BICES X mission. This role is based in Tampa, Florida, with an onsite work environment and plays an indispensable part in maintaining secure global operations around the clock. The successful candidate will lead a team managing critical enterprise infrastructure components such as Active Directory, DNS/DHCP services, group policy architecture, and key identity governance mechanisms that are foundational for mission integrity and cybersecurity compliance.
This leadership role requires proactive operational oversight, emergency response coordination, and hands-on management to ensure instantaneous resolution when system disruptions threaten operational continuity. The Team Lead functions at the intersection of Domain Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Operations, and partnering government organizations to enforce identity governance and guide the transition of legacy systems into a modern, Zero Trust-compliant architecture. Key focus areas include directing the lifecycle management of identity credentials, disaster recovery planning, compliance auditing, and the modernization of directory services through innovative security engineering.
The salary range for this role is estimated between $112,840 and $132,250 annually, though the exact compensation would depend on factors such as experience, geographic location, and contractual terms. Candidates must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and demonstrate at least five years of experience supporting enterprise operations in mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environments. Additional requirements include leadership experience managing ID management or Active Directory domain services, and proficiency in technologies such as Windows Server administration, group policy management, DNSSEC, and DHCP network access controls.
Candidates will benefit from being part of a leading-edge team engaged in high-stakes cybersecurity initiatives to protect national assets. GDIT utilizes advanced biometric and AI-driven identity verification as a part of their hiring process, ensuring security and authenticity from onboarding onward. The role also emphasizes career development through comprehensive technical training and offers a dynamic work environment where innovation and operational excellence drive the mission. GDIT prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, inclusivity, and the contributions of individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
