The Maintenance Technician role at Flynn Applebee's is a full-time position reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. Hourly pay ranges from $28.00 to $40.00, with an expectation of no less than 40 hours per week. This critical position is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity and functionality of the restaurant buildings and equipment. Primary duties include preventative maintenance, tile work, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wallpapering, and emergency repair work.
The technician performs scheduled equipment maintenance during normal business hours of 7 AM to 4 PM and must also be available for after-hours work, including on-call duties every other weekend and up to 20% night shifts as required. This role involves direct interaction with field service technicians, assisting them when necessary and identifying issues to report to the maintenance director. The technician is also responsible for organizing maintenance files, records, and reports to ensure efficient documentation and facilitate ongoing operations.
Beyond routine repair and maintenance, the Maintenance Technician supports field operations by maintaining restaurant equipment and infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, and minimizing downtime. The role demands reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to safely handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working under various environmental conditions including wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise.

Job Requirements
- Five years experience in a similar position
- Two years installation experience
- Three years minimum experience troubleshooting and repair
- EPA Certification
- Must live within geographic area being supported
- Ability to work extra hours, weekend hours, holiday hours, evening hours as required
- Ability to accommodate a variable work schedule
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage meeting state requirements
Job Qualifications
- Must be reliable and self-motivated
- Have formal HVACR education
- Must have clean driving record
- Able to safely reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Implement preventative maintenance program for restaurant building and equipment
- Assist field service technicians when needed
- Identify field service issues and report them to maintenance director
- Implement necessary files, records and reports of all maintenance information in an organized manner
- Implement maintenance and repair program of restaurant equipment for the support of field operations
- Provide normal and emergency equipment repairs whenever possible and direct the use of outside vendors when needed
- Provide support for the field, protect company interests, and help ensure the efficient operation of the restaurants
