This position is for a Human Resources Manager at Doubletree by Hilton Spokane. The role is pivotal in overseeing the hotel’s daily human resource functions, ensuring all operations are compliant with company policies and employment laws. The Human Resources Manager will act as a key partner to hotel leadership, supporting the development of high-performing teams and nurturing a positive work environment. This position demands a leader who excels in relationship-building, problem-solving, and coaching, with a strong dedication to creating an exceptional employee experience.

The Human Resources Manager will undertake a wide scope of responsibilities, from leading recruitment and onboarding processes to managing employee relations and compliance efforts. You will be instrumental in shaping workforce planning strategies and performance management while coordinating benefits and training initiatives. Your role also encompasses fostering employee engagement through recognition programs and retention strategies, monitoring key HR metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Additionally, you will assist with leave administration, workers’ compensation, and other regulatory compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of human resources experience, preferably within the hospitality sector, along with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Prior management or supervisory experience and certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are highly desirable. Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office is essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle complex employee matters with professionalism. Job Duties

  • Lead full cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Partner with department leaders on staffing strategies workforce planning
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations concerns and conflict resolution
  • Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and corrective action
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and answer employee benefit questions
  • Support payroll by ensuring employee information and timekeeping practices
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding
  • Coordinate training programs, compliance training, and leadership development
  • Plan employee recognition, engagement, and appreciation events
  • Monitor turnover, retention, and other HR metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and accommodations
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
  • Support safety initiatives and maintain required employment postings and documentation
  • Build positive relationships with employees while promoting an engaging workplace culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned
