This well-established company is not only recognized for its extensive retail presence but also for its growing e-commerce portfolio, which complements its brick-and-mortar locations. The company’s brand portfolio includes renowned names such as Roger Dunn Golf Shops, Edwin Watts Golf, The Golf Mart, Golfers' Warehouse, Van’s Golf Shops, and many others. This diversity in brands allows Worldwide Golf to serve a broad customer base, ranging from casual golfers to serious enthusiasts, by offering quality products and an exceptional shopping experience.
This full-time, onsite HR Business Partner position is based at the Worldwide Golf corporate headquarters in Santa Ana, California, where the chosen candidate will be working Monday through Friday. The salary range for this role is competitive, from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, with the specific starting rate depending on the candidate's experience and education. In addition to a rewarding salary, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance (M/D/V), 401(k) matching, employer Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions, and paid vacation plus sick time, showcasing its commitment to employee well-being and work-life balance.
The HR Business Partner serves as a pivotal player in driving the organization’s people strategy and supporting its leaders and employees across corporate, retail, and warehouse environments. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to leaders in multiple regions, particularly focusing on the West Region. Key responsibilities include handling complex employee relations issues, facilitating conflict resolution, conducting workplace investigations, and overseeing performance management programs that align with both company policy and employment law requirements. This position also supports the Director of Talent Acquisition by participating in end-to-end recruitment efforts and onboarding processes across all business units, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the HR Business Partner will also supervise the HR Generalist for the West Region and an Office Administrator. This leadership aspect highlights the role’s influence and scope within the HR team, which is comprised of seven professionals with expertise in payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, and other specialized HR functions. Collaboration and mentorship with the CHRO are emphasized, providing an excellent opportunity for career development and professional growth.
The role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to human resource management, including ensuring HR practices comply with changing multi-state employment laws, administering benefits programs such as open enrollment, contributing to HR projects like policy updates and employee engagement initiatives, and utilizing data to analyze HR metrics like turnover and absenteeism to influence decision-making. This comprehensive scope of work underlines the HR Business Partner’s critical function in fostering a high-performing, engaged workforce in a thriving company.
Worldwide Golf also stands out for its employee-centric culture offering perks such as a strong employee discount on golf merchandise, which is ideal for individuals passionate about the golf industry. The company fosters an environment that encourages professional development through varied and exciting projects tied to its ongoing growth. With the combined opportunities for advancement, structured leadership support, and comprehensive benefits, this HR Business Partner role is tailored for experienced HR professionals eager to contribute strategically to a leading company in a niche market with real industry impact.
