The role of HSE Manager at ISS Facility Services is critical to ensuring that the company meets and exceeds health, safety, and environmental compliance standards across its operations. This position involves providing functional leadership in the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental processes, fostering a strong safety culture within the company and with clients. The HSE Manager is tasked with creating, implementing, and managing safety programs tailored to various site requirements within the assigned region. Working closely with the North American ISS Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team, account leadership, site management, frontline personnel, and client facility managers, the HSE Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the ISS NA HSEQ program.

The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach to compliance with statutory and regulatory HSE requirements and will be instrumental in driving key performance targets such as Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIR), and training completion. They will also influence environmental sustainability initiatives and support ISO certifications relevant to the company’s operations. Collaboration is a key aspect of the role, requiring effective communication across departments and with various stakeholders to ensure that health and safety goals align with corporate objectives and client expectations.

The position requires a professional well-versed in OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulatory standards, with significant experience in managing health and safety programs in large industrial or manufacturing settings. The HSE Manager must demonstrate expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, corrective action administration, and the promotion of safety consciousness among employees. This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities to handle complex compliance and safety challenges effectively.

ISS Facility Services offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary range of $111,000 to $134,000, commensurate with experience and skills. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, along with a robust leave program. This role also requires flexibility regarding travel, physical demands such as site visits and safety equipment use, and occasional shift work.
