Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18

  • Completion of company orientation and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment and perform detailed and precise tasks

Job Duties

  • Provides superior customer service
  • Takes customer orders by telephone or in person
  • Answers customer questions regarding products and assists with selections
  • Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh products effectively
  • Slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
  • Assists in technical areas like setup and cleanup
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs and build sales
  • Cleans and sanitizes display cases
  • Operates and maintains equipment properly
  • Complies with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Complies with department and store operating procedures
  • Records production and shrink for bakery
  • Assists in baking, frying, and decorating in bakery
  • Culls bakery products for poor quality and expiration
  • Takes care of service counter customers in deli
  • Uses ordering system applications and Fresh Production Planner
  • Performs inventory management for deli
  • Ensures catering orders are ready for pickup
  • Performs sanitation and maintenance on deli slicers
  • Serves and packages prepared foods
  • Educates customers on preparation and reheating
  • Repackages condiments
  • Cuts, slices, dices, and chops food in preparation for chef
