As a Housing Specialist at CRF, you will play a crucial role in managing the housing subsidy operations of the Downtown IMPACT program and assisting clients in obtaining stable housing solutions. This full-time position requires flexibility with work schedules, including options for Monday through Friday or Monday through Thursday with rotating weekend shifts. Your work will center around guiding clients through housing acquisition and placement, supporting them to get onto permanent housing waiting lists, and providing housing skills training to enhance their community integration and independence. You will be instrumental in promoting the Housing First approach by educating staff and community members on its principles.

The Housing Specialist will act as a liaison between clients and housing providers, maintaining strong relationships with property managers and housing authorities to facilitate successful and sustained housing placements. Your role involves coordinating moves across various housing options, including Independent Living Facilities (ILFs), Board and Care homes, and apartments within the continuum of care. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community partners is essential to maximize housing resources and successful placements for clients.

In addition to housing support, you will be expected to provide general case management services to clients as needed, ensuring their overall health, well-being, and community functioning are optimized. This dynamic role demands compassion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build trustful relationships with clients and stakeholders.
