Job Description

Sandpiper Hospitality (SH) is one of the fastest-growing companies in the extended stay market, renowned for providing guests with comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality accommodations. With a strong commitment to maintaining superior brand standards, SH operates with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence. The company prides itself on fostering a positive, energetic working environment where employees can develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the guest experience. Sandpiper Hospitality operates properties that are thoughtfully maintained and designed to meet the needs of extended stay guests, combining the comforts of home with the conveniences of a hotel.

The role of Houseperson (H) at Sandpiper Hospitality is a vital, hands-on position that blends aspects of light maintenance, housekeeping, and facility upkeep. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, functional, and attractive environment that aligns with the company’s brand standards. The Houseperson is responsible for performing light preventive maintenance such as minor plumbing, electrical work, and studio upkeep tasks, ensuring the property remains in excellent condition both inside and outside. Additionally, the role involves preparing guest rooms after move-outs by performing thorough inspections, cleaning, addressing maintenance issues, and setting up rooms to enhance guest satisfaction.

Beyond maintenance and room preparation, the Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by managing trash removal, linen care including stain treatment, and assisting with laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens. The position also requires flexibility to provide emergency on-call support and the ability to cross-train in adjacent housekeeping roles like Move-Out Attendant and Stay-Over Attendant. To be successful, candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, physical dexterity, and the ability to work independently and safely. Communication skills in English, problem-solving abilities, and a friendly service mindset are essential attributes.

This full-time position requires availability for morning and night shifts and demands a proactive approach to facility upkeep. The Houseperson plays a key role in enhancing guest experiences by ensuring a consistently clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. Sandpiper Hospitality values team players who bring energy and dedication to their roles, encapsulated in the company’s core value to "Bring the Energy." This job offers opportunities for skill development and engagement with a dynamic hospitality team passionate about quality service and operational excellence. If you have a knack for repairs, a commitment to cleanliness, and an eagerness for a multi-skilled role that impacts guest satisfaction directly, this position offers a rewarding career path within a growing hospitality company.
