Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, located at 2121 McKinney Ave, Dallas, Texas, is part of the globally renowned Marriott International portfolio, recognized for its exceptional luxury hospitality and service excellence. As an award-winning hotel and resort brand, The Ritz-Carlton is dedicated to creating memorable and unique experiences for its guests, ensuring they receive impeccable care and comfort that surpass expectations. The company's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment celebrates the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates, making it a rewarding place to work for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service.

This full-time, non-management position offers an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team committed to the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton. As a Runner within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations department, the role is essential for maintaining smooth and efficient hotel operations by supporting multiple departments, such as housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and the front office. Runners play a pivotal role in ensuring that both guests and associates have what they need at the right time, helping to elevate the guest experience through timely and professional service.

The position requires individuals to be on their feet for extended periods, moving throughout the hotel to deliver items directly to guests or assist various operational departments. This involves physical activity such as standing, walking, climbing stairs or service ramps, and occasionally maneuvering through confined spaces. The role demands attention to detail, with responsibilities including reading and verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and handling objects weighing up to 55 pounds. A hands-on approach is vital, requiring bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to fulfill duties effectively.

Success in this position revolves around several critical factors: maintaining a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures, sustaining confidentiality, and upholding the highest quality and presentation standards. Professionalism in uniform, appearance, and communication is expected at all times to reflect The Ritz-Carlton’s commitment to excellence. Although no prior work experience or supervisory background is required, candidates should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, reflecting the company’s openness to welcoming individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton means joining a team of dedicated hospitality professionals who uphold a service culture based on respect, creativity, empathy, and continuous improvement. Employees learn and live the core Gold Standards, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values, which form the foundation for delivering exceptional guest experiences consistently. The hotel’s inclusive atmosphere and commitment to equal opportunity ensure that every associate has the support and resources to thrive and become the best version of themselves. By embracing the role of Runner, you will directly contribute to creating unforgettable moments for guests and sustaining The Ritz-Carlton’s reputation as a global leader in luxury service. This role is not just a job; it is a chance to belong to a community where passion for hospitality and dedication to quality combine to make every day special.
