Job Description

Crotched Mountain School, a program of Seven Hills Foundation, is a unique educational institution nestled in the scenic Monadnock region of New Hampshire. The school provides a therapeutic and adventure-based environment for learners, especially catering to students with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The expansive campus is equipped with diverse facilities including hiking trails, lakes, an Olympic-sized pool, a media center, a bowling alley, and a panoramic library, all carefully designed to foster social, academic, and emotional growth in students. This institution has a rich heritage and has been undergoing revitalization efforts over the past several years, expanding services, welcoming more students, and assembling a passionate team of clinicians, educators, and caregivers dedicated to creating extraordinary opportunities for youth.

As a Housekeeping Technician I at Crotched Mountain School, you play a vital role beyond typical cleaning duties. The position is second shift, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a competitive pay range of $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflecting the school's commitment to recognizing the value of each team member. This role involves setting the stage for a nurturing, safe, and inviting environment where students feel comfortable, secure, and ready to learn and grow. Every surface you clean and every space you organize contributes directly to minimizing stress and enhancing the focus and well-being of the students. Your work ensures that the classrooms, common areas, and living spaces remain hygienic, orderly, and welcoming, ultimately supporting the school’s mission to provide exceptional learning and therapeutic experiences.

As a housekeeper at Crotched Mountain School, you will also be part of a larger foundation that supports student success. From handling trash removal to event setup and snow removal around entryways, your role is multifaceted and essential to maintaining the school's safe and calm environment. The organization values reliability, compassion, and teamwork, traits that are essential to this position. Moreover, working here is not just about maintaining cleanliness; it is about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs in a supportive community.

Crotched Mountain School offers substantial benefits for full-time employees, including health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield with generous company contributions, an enhanced retirement plan with 25% to 33% employer match based on tenure, student loan assistance with consolidation and counseling, discounted tuition with college and university partnerships, tuition assistance for college coursework, and a home mortgage initiative with favorable down payment and reduced closing costs. Work-life balance is prioritized with generous accrued paid vacation starting at three weeks in the first year, options for vacation cash-out, three paid personal days, eleven paid holidays, and accrued paid sick time.

For part-time employees, benefits include accrued paid sick time, an enhanced retirement plan with employer match (for those working a minimum of 20 hours weekly), student loan assistance, and personal PTO for those on a regular part-time schedule. This comprehensive package reflects the organization's commitment to supporting its employees holistically. If you are someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in a job well done, and wants your work to have real purpose, this position at Crotched Mountain School is more than just housekeeping. It offers the opportunity to create a positive impact in an educational setting where every clean room helps build confidence and fosters growth in students.

Join Crotched Mountain School as a Housekeeping Technician I and be part of a team that makes a tangible difference every day in the lives of young people with neurodevelopmental disabilities, supporting their journey toward reaching their full potential.
