Job Description

Gravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand best known for its unique blend of hospitality, outdoor experiences, and intentional living. Operating a range of hotels, restaurants, and adventure-focused services, Gravity Haus aims to create welcoming spaces where both locals and travelers can connect, recharge, and enjoy life with a spirit rooted deeply in the outdoors. The company is dedicated to fostering a culture that emphasizes growth, collaboration, and impactful moments, which is reflected in their core values: Keep Growing, Bring Others Along, Create Powerful Moments, Be "All-In" + Go the Distance, and Make it Better than You Found It.

Gravity Haus offers an engaging and dynamic workplace focused on blending hospitality excellence with a passion for the outdoors and adventure lifestyle. The company’s unique positioning in the market appeals to individuals who share a love for community, sustainability, and delivering memorable experiences.

The Hauskeeping Supervisor role at Gravity Haus is a full-time position designed to support the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that guest rooms and public areas consistently meet the company’s high standards for cleanliness and presentation. The supervisor works in partnership with the Housekeeping Manager to help execute daily priorities, focusing on guiding the housekeeping team, providing on-shift leadership, and maintaining quality control. While this role is not responsible for the overall management of the department, it is pivotal to the effective and seamless operation of the housekeeping functions.

Responsibilities include coordinating the daily workflow of housekeepers by assisting with task assignments and prioritizing room readiness. The supervisor provides on-the-floor leadership and serves as a mentor to new team members, helping them adhere to service standards and protocols. They act as a key point of contact during shifts, especially when management personnel are not available, ensuring that the team performs cohesively and maintains a positive work environment.

Quality control is another critical aspect of the role. The Hauskeeping Supervisor regularly inspects guest rooms and public spaces, identifying cleaning deficiencies and offering immediate feedback and coaching to ensure that standards are consistently met. This includes ensuring that housekeeping service protocols are delivered uniformly across all areas.

The role also covers operational support tasks, such as assisting with room cleaning, laundry coordination, and public areas maintenance. The supervisor monitors housekeeping supplies inventory and coordinates with management for replenishment as needed. Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests and housekeeping-related issues is part of the daily responsibilities to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.

Additionally, the Hauskeeping Supervisor supports reporting and communication functions by documenting and reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and property damages to the appropriate departments. They ensure lost and found items are handled according to procedure and communicate relevant updates about room status and operational needs with the housekeeping manager and front desk team.

Ideal candidates will have over three years of housekeeping experience within hotel or resort settings, with a strong foundation in hospitality cleaning standards. Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity is preferred, alongside strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team collaboratively. Familiarity with property management and task management software such as Alice or Opera is also beneficial.

This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Salary for the Hauskeeping Supervisor position ranges from $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. This full-time opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and access to the unique Gravity Haus membership, which provides adventure and wellness perks. Joining Gravity Haus means becoming part of a vibrant community that values meaningful impact through work and outdoor lifestyle.
