Job Description
MCR is the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, managing a robust portfolio of 148 premium-branded hotels with more than 22,000 guestrooms across 37 states and 106 cities. Founded in 2006, MCR has established offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia. Operating under 9 Marriott brands, 8 Hilton brands, and several independent hotels, MCR is recognized for excellence and innovation within the hospitality industry. With over 7,000 team members nationwide, MCR has been honored with multiple awards, including Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020, the Marriott Partnership Circle Award, and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer. The company’s commitment to delivering quality guest experiences is exemplified in its portfolio’s outstanding hotel developments like the TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK Airport, which garnered prestigious awards from The Americas Lodging Investment Summit, Urban Land Institute, and the American Institute of Architects.
The TownePlace Suites in Corpus Christi, TX, part of MCR’s extensive hotel portfolio, is currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure that their property upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and team performance. The position is a critical supervisory role encompassing responsibility for the daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry areas, and the housekeeping staff team. The Housekeeping Supervisor acts as the operational leader in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, ensuring that all aspects of hotel cleanliness and organization meet company standards.
This full-time position demands a hands-on approach where the supervisor will be actively involved in cleaning activities, team management, guest relations, and logistical coordination of housekeeping tasks. Attention to detail is paramount as the role requires oversight of deep cleaning processes, inventory management, maintenance coordination, and adherence to safety practices including chemical usage and key control protocols. A thorough understanding of the hotel’s facilities, services, and technology applications is essential to handle guest requests efficiently and provide excellent service consistently.
The ideal candidate will exemplify the MCR Universal Role Standards such as friendliness, punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork. They must foster a retreat of spotless cleanliness with a positive, can-do attitude that encourages collaboration among staff and ensures guest happiness. Communication and conflict resolution skills are vital to managing a diverse team and responding proactively to any operational challenges or guest concerns. This role involves variable scheduling with evening, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet business demands. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate physical capability to perform tasks that include lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and detailed inspection of guest rooms and public areas.
Employees enjoy competitive compensation with additional benefits that include hotel discounts, weekly pay, paid time off, retirement options, referral bonuses, career advancement opportunities, and medical benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance following 30 days of employment for full-time team members. Joining MCR’s team offers the chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to setting benchmarks in hospitality, guest service, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for candidates seeking a stable career with room for growth within a nationally recognized hotel operator.
