The Housekeeping Supervisor position at Hyatt represents a critical leadership role within the hotel’s housekeeping department. This role involves supporting and assisting the housekeeping operation, which includes housekeepers, supervisors, assistant managers, managers, and the director of housekeeping. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will act as a vital liaison, ensuring clear communication of guest needs and operational feedback between housekeeping teams and other departments such as Engineering. Your work will encompass coordinating work orders and service requests, maintaining inventory control, and managing daily housekeeping assignments through software platforms like HotSOS and Opera. This role requires a proactive approach to service, ensuring guests receive impeccable service that reflects the Hyatt culture and enhances the reputation of the resort as a premier destination.

The position offers an hourly rate of $24.00 and is structured to provide a dynamic work environment where collaboration, attention to detail, and guest satisfaction are paramount. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible not only for managing the cleanliness and organization of guest areas but also for maintaining safety standards and key control protocols. Job Qualifications

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Office administrator or office management experience preferred
  • One year of customer service experience required
  • Ability to understand and converse in English
  • Ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to create and use Microsoft Word documents

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily work boards and work assignments for housekeepers and supervisors using HotSOS and Opera
  • Dispatches items and requests to housekeepers, supervisors, inspectors and housepersons
  • Handles any applicable guest, front desk or housekeeping request as needed
  • Keeps accurate and legible records of all services and requests
  • Ability to carry out any special projects requested by housekeeping management
  • Responsible for managing supplies inventories
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons
  • Adjusts room status codes relative to engineering updates
  • Communicates with appropriate departments regarding rooms in engineering status
  • Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
  • Maintains effective organization, layout, cleanliness, security, upkeep of housekeeping office
  • Provides accurate key control and effective security for all keys
  • Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment in the housekeeping department
  • Follows through on lost and found procedures
  • Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised
  • Ability to communicate in a multi layered fashion cross departmentally via email, radio, phone, or in person
