Job Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping supervisory or management experience in hospitality
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop others
  • Physical ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift

Job Duties

  • Provide courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints
  • Resolve difficult or unusual problems arising with guests while maintaining good guest relationships
  • Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service
  • Identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping with departmental functions including opening and PM shift, maintaining turnover levels, uniform control, purchasing and issuance, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance, linen and supply inventories, scheduling, and payroll cost controls
  • Monitor housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels
  • Maintain close communication with Front Desk and Engineering departments and report maintenance issues
  • Inspect the cleaning and servicing of all guest rooms and vacant rooms daily
  • Prepare and complete all necessary reports including VIPs, Due-Outs, and V/Ds
  • Identify all cleaning defects and reassign them to the responsible staff with daily inspections
  • Oversee Housemen and ensure completion of daily duties and special projects
  • Oversee Laundry Department daily functions when supervisor is absent
  • Participate in energy conservation efforts
  • Maintain hotel property and work areas clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored
  • Eliminate waste of supplies
  • Assist in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness and consistent guest experience
  • Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and trained housekeeping staff
  • Present and track staff moments of service (MOS)
