Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel operations
2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
experience in hotel or resort setting preferred
familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software
strong leadership and team management skills
knowledge of cleaning and sanitation standards
ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts
strong problem-solving skills
ability to stand or walk for extended periods
ability to bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
3-5 years hospitality industry experience with 2-3 years in management
previous luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
proficiency with property management systems and housekeeping software is a plus
strong leadership and motivational skills
excellent knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation protocols
effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
ability to train and develop staff
demonstrated problem-solving capabilities

Job Duties

Supervise, train, and manage housekeeping staff including housekeepers, room attendants, and supervisors
assign and delegate daily cleaning tasks to ensure rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet hotel standards
monitor team performance, provide feedback, and recognize exemplary work
assist with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and special requirements
conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals and foster collaboration
oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations ensuring timely cleaning and maintenance
inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and identify maintenance needs
ensure guest rooms and public spaces are stocked with necessary amenities and supplies
coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance for room readiness and issue resolution
address guest complaints and concerns professionally and promptly
monitor guest feedback related to housekeeping services and take appropriate action
manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens ensuring proper stock levels and organization
order and receive supplies in line with budget guidelines
maintain proper storage and safety of supplies and equipment
ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
conduct safety training for staff
assist with managing department budget and monitor expenses
provide regular reports on costs and suggest improvements
oversee staff training and development programs
collaborate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage departments for seamless guest service
coordinate special requests such as early check-ins and VIP needs
