This AAA Four Diamond hotel prides itself on its blend of historic Southern charm and modern amenities, providing guests with an elegant and comfortable lodging experience. The hotel's prime location situates guests within walking distance of local shopping options, cultural attractions, and business centers, making it an ideal choice for both leisure travelers and business visitors.
At HEI Hotels & Resorts, people are their greatest asset. The company emphasizes a strong culture where associates are empowered to grow and excel, supported by comprehensive training programs and industry-leading tools. HEI is committed to providing competitive compensation and extensive benefits as part of their investment in the professional development and well-being of every team member. With inclusive hiring policies that value diversity and military experience, HEI fosters a respectful, supportive, and dynamic environment where every associate is appreciated.
The role offered at The Westin Poinsett is focused on maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and safety to ensure a remarkable experience for guests, employees, and vendors alike. This position involves hands-on tasks such as stocking linen closets with supplies for room attendants, managing the collection and disposal of soiled linens and trash, and performing detailed cleaning duties including polishing surfaces, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping various public areas such as hallways, stairwells, foyers, and vending areas. The role also includes responsibility for moving furniture and flipping mattresses as assigned, always adhering to the company’s safety standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional demeanor, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and coworkers. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to support team members collaboratively, illustrating HEI's spirit of partnership and shared success.
Compensation for this position is set at $16.00 per hour. Although not eligible for tips or discretionary performance bonuses, the role offers access to HEI’s comprehensive benefits package. This package includes competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, and even pet insurance. Additionally, employees benefit from supplemental life insurance coverage, disability plans, and a 401(k) program with matching funds. Discounts on hotel rooms and other employee perks further enhance the overall compensation structure.
