The role of Housekeeping House Attendant is vital to our hotel's commitment to excellence. This position focuses on ensuring the cleanliness and order of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, which are the first impressions guests have as they move through the hotel. The Housekeeping House Attendant supports room attendants by stocking supplies and assisting with guest room cleaning when required. This position demands a proactive and dedicated individual who values maintaining cleanliness at the highest level and embodies a strong work ethic.
In this role, the Housekeeping House Attendant is responsible for tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping various public areas, cleaning walls and doors, polishing mirrors and elevator doors, and maintaining the cleanliness of elevator lobbies and furniture. They are also tasked with handling requests for luggage assistance with professionalism and courtesy, and managing lost and found items according to hotel standards. The position plays an essential role in promoting a safe and hazard-free environment by practicing safe work habits and adhering to company and brand standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a hospitality setting
- Ability to operate floor care equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills and guest service orientation
- Basic English proficiency for communication
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize duties
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest corridors, stairwells, and public areas
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers
- Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors, and polish mirrors, room numbers, and elevator doors
- Maintain the cleanliness of elevator lobbies, ash urns, furniture, and ice/vending machines
- Complete project work as assigned
- Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants, including direct delivery when needed
- Collect dirty linen or trash from room attendants throughout the shift
- Assist room attendants with guest room cleaning as necessary
- Handle requests for luggage handling in a friendly and efficient manner
- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, fellow employees, and self
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper
- Remove objects like room service trays or trash from hallways to designated service areas
- Comply with all company and brand standards to ensure efficient hotel operations
- Use proper radio etiquette when communicating with other team members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and housekeeping storage areas
- Report any issues or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
- At the end of the shift, turn in keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel standards
